Another question about rendering hair in Poser 11's Comic Book mode
-
I've learned that the first trick to rendering hair in comic book mode is to make sure "remove backfacing polys" is not checked. But I'm now having an issue with some hair being semi-transparent—parts of the skull are visible as black shadows. Any suggestions?

if the hair uses a Poser Surface root try checking normals forward and see if that fixes it.

@ghostship I tried it with all parts "normals forward" and none with that setting. Neither made a difference. But I did learn a little about another part of the program, so it's not a total loss! :) And based on the little googling I did about "normals forward", it was a good guess on your part, even though it didn't fix it.

@ghostship Ah, I seem to have found it. One of the options for rendering is something like "enhance multiple transparencies." When I check that, the problem goes away, but the program becomes very slow. Obviously, I just need to remember to check it when I'm ready to render.
Thanks again for the suggestion. It got me trying things again, which is how I stumbled on the option I probably should've noticed earlier.

cool! Glad you got it working!

I would've loved to see the image there. Is it the forum or just moi?
-
@maestro It still works for me, but trust me, you're not missing anything. :)

@willshetterly You must know by saying that I now want to see it more than anything! :) Screenshot!

@maestro :)
I don't now how to share it in any way other than I did. I can still see it in my second comment. Maybe you need to try a different browser?

I checked the html. Will, your link is to an image in your personal google content area. You didn't "share" the content, so sharing the link with us is no use. The fact that YOU can see it proves nothing at all regarding every other person in the planet. You are the only person allowed to see that content.
Meanwhile, the correct way to add an image to a forum post is to upload the image so our browsers don't have to run all over the internet to find content we're not allowed to see. You do that using the Upload Image button in the editor button bar. It looks like a cloud with an up arrow inside.
If you have the image in the clipboard it's even easier. Just use Ctrl-V to paste it right into your message.

@bagginsbill I would swear I tried the upload arrow and it didn't work, which is why I then tried linking it, but maybe I did something wrong. In any case, here goes with pasting directly:
Thanks for the pointer!
