The Infamous Darth J Freebie Thread (NSFW)

@F_Verbaas That's probably where Darth got the idea. ~wink~
-
This will be a modern high-tech border crossing : no barbed wire, anti-tank obstacles or any other visible, disturbing elements. Only some electronics hidden in walls, roof and floor. By the time you get through they'll know everything about you without asking a single question. The 5th generation Berlin Wall border crossings were intended to be this way.
-
With textures, still requires some corrections and fine-tuning.
-
@DarthJ
Quite an addition to Hadrian's wall!
Problem is of course if there is only some hidden electronics for detection, what is the purpose of this crossing?
-
I don't know what it will take for the Scottish to declare their independance.. Will Westminster demanding full disclosure of the Haggis receipe, - no longer accepting the 70% unknown ingredients part - trigger the event ?
This kind of border crossing is meant for countries worried about their public image. You want to keep illegal immigrants and/or other unwanted elements out but on the other hand you don't want to scare genuine moneybags, aka tourists and business people away, Quite a dilemma, certainly if you are a xenophobic country considering every incoming alien a potential threat.
So If these electronics find something wrong about you or what you are carrying you will be kindly invited for an 'interview' in a space with some more privacy ... far away from the public eye.
A few corrections later : building is done Arrow and cross light up in the dark, a trick you know from the Moca-Hola freebie Time for the cleaning-up part
-
Testing textures :. metal, too much shine. Brick, too little bump, transparent windows, too little transparency. Concrete , too much bump, looks too damaged for a new building. And you thought this was just a render.

@DarthJ
That's easy: She used the Poser time warp!

@F_Verbaas lol

The one that didn't have the chicken crossing it?

I think he's pointing out that it appears they are going to become a commercial broker rather than simply hosting freebies. Of course, while I haven't seen this notice before, it could have been there for years for all I know... ;)
EDIT, no, I see that there are some that items that now cost $, which is new since yesterday...
-
@wandw Interesting, because I thought they had decided to do that a couple/three years ago. Or maybe they were just giving folks the "option" to sell items on their site. It's been a while so don't exactly recall the details.
-
I think I already mentioned that Sharecg asked us freebie-uploaders if we would be interested in becoming vendors. And behold, yesterday I received this email with a seller's agreement, hence the link.
My items will remain freebies. Otherwise I'll call them items for sale.
Mwahahah.
Sorry.
-
@DarthJ No problem Darth. I just had been under the assumption they already had folks selling products on their site for some time now, but maybe it just hadn't been actually implemented until now.
-
If there had been sellers before you would have noticed some changes by now. Possibly the site would have turned into a brokerage site (Vanishing Point has already seized the opportunity) slowly sidetracking freebies.
Or you would find a choice reduced to "sellable" items, in other words anything for Genesis 3 females though in particular slutwear.
-
Speaking of Vanishing Point, they have put up several for-sale items just today...

On a possibly unrelated note, the "keep logged in " box no longer works; I now have to login every day...
