Superfly Motion Blur
I'd like to add motion blur to a single frame SF render, the manual helpfully says.. "Motion Blur: Enables motion blur effect. The quality of the motion blur effect is controlled by the Pixel Samples setting." but how does it know what is moving?
Nothing moves by checking Motion Blur unless you move it yourself first. Example is a Bike wheel with spokes. Set up your scene at frame 1. Advance to frame 4 for instance and rotate the bike wheel. Render this frame and the image will be as you have it on frame 1 but the bike wheel will have the motion blur if the setting is checked.
But do I render frame 1 or frame 4 and what about frames 5~30?
Render frame 4. The rest don't matter if you are rendering stills.
Set up a scene.
Advance a few frames.
Move what you want blurred.
Render this frame. The one you advanced to and made the adjustment on.
@parkdalegardener Thanks, so I can say do frame 30 as the base and frame 35 as the render? it is always 1 to current frame?
Yes you can. Any frame as the start and any frame as the finish.
One propeller rotated 10 degrees on frame 2.
Frame 2 rendered with Motion Blur checked in render settings.
