Poser support
-
A week ago my husband and I were attacked by robbers in our home. The robbers stole, among other precious things, the laptop on which I had Poser installed. I have replaced the hardware but can't reactivate my software because I get a message that the maximum activations has been exceeded. And then I am given the option to purchase. I logged a support case and have had no response yet. I would really appreciate some help here.

@nanettetredoux
Hi Nanette
If you got the "Max licences exceeded", you have 3 installs. Deactivate the stolen PC licence and you can do a fresh 3rd installation.You still have the download manager installed somewhere?
Go to the download manager.
Go to "Manage my account" and log in as usual.In the top bar you see Licences.
There you can manage your licences.
Go to advanced, see your serial numbers, and click on details.
(Click on the serial number)
(Typing from memory, but should be close)Deactivate the licence from the stolen PC to free up a fresh slot, and you can do a new 3rd installation.
Best regards, Tony

@vilters Thanks Tony. I do have the download manager, yes, but no option to manage my account and no advanced mode.

@nanettetredoux Launch DLM (DownLoad Manager). Enter the relevant serial number, unless it's already autofilled. Click Account in the title bar, then when the drop-down menu opens, click Manage Account.
-
@seachnasaigh There is no account option in my Download manager menu.
Perhaps the Poser Ambassadors have a different version?

@nanettetredoux
Oeps... I just made the same screengrab as shown above.....Go to
https://pgportal.smithmicro.com/authentication/signinSign in, and you should be good to go.
-
@nanettetredoux Have you ever entered a serial number and clicked Create Account?
Perhaps the account item in the title bar menu will appear once you have created an account.
-
@vilters When I sign in there, it knows about my Poser 11 licence. There is an option to deactivate, but only for the entire licence. No indication of specific installations.
-
@seachnasaigh I don't recall that the download manager has ever asked me to create an account. I enter the serial number and then it authenticates, but that's all. And this stupid forum will only let me post once in 300 seconds!

@nanettetredoux
Click on the sn, then another window will pop up that shows all your installations.You should get a window "Manage your product License."
Check the checkbox "Show advanced options".
Then a list of your installations shows up with behind each a BLUE window with "more info" and a RED window with "REMOVE".
-
@vilters Thank you so much, I have found it. I deactivated the oldest installation. Apparently it counted one of my hardware upgrades as a new installation.

@nanettetredoux
Yoepiee, glad to be of service.
Have a nice day dear, those thief/clowns never realize what they do to people.

When I go to the Product Licenses portal. No Licenses are listed, when I try to add my Licenses I get a message saying it already exists.
