Andy's hands and feet are not attached to his limbs.. what?
-
Can anybody explain this to me? I dont even know what i did. It would be cool if i did it on purpose tho...
-
Did you use a pose not designed for andy? :) Looks like you did and the origins/offsets for the hands/feet were different. This happens with other figures also, but they looked stretched since they are welded actors. Andy is modular :) so they just move instead of stretch.
-
Also, do you have IK turned on?
-
Anyway, the solution is to reset the translaton parameters to 0.0.
If you do not see them uss 'show hidden parameters' to assess them.
-
@authintix don't feel guilty... Andy is used to people being mean to him, just because he's a crazy old robot-looking mannequin of indeterminate gender that uses no clothes, has no hat, cannot speak, has no ears so cannot use glasses, has no jaw so cannot eat and is kind of missing from the middle section down...
... oh man, now I do feel sorry for poor old Andy. Hang in there, Andy, we'll rescue your hands! You can miss the pleasures of life but at least we'll get your hands back!
-
@rlowens68 yes i used a punch pose lol. So its not good to do that I am assuming
-
@amethystpendant Yes I have for hands and feet IK on
-
@fbs7 I will check on my lunch break and find out!
-
@authintix Definitely try it without, applying a pose when IK is on and the hip moves gives weird results
-
@F_Verbaas I can't reset it in general. I'm unable to even scrub the translation dials. Its like 'locked' or something
-
@F_Verbaas As soon as i typed this i saw that "lock figure" was checked haha. So now i guess i gotta redo this somehow
-
@amethystpendant IK usually works wonders for me as I do alot of dynamic fighting animations that are usally 300+ frames. So I do this so their body parts dont go bonkers haha. But yeah the solution that @fbs7 said was correct I just didn't have my figure unlocked to changed those parameters. All is well now!

Thank you all for the suggestions! I fixed the issue!!!
