poser 11

  • can it help make mmds models like miku we see on youtube or is it a other software that you guys have just what to know before I buy the wrong one HELP

  • Poser Ambassadors

Clip Paint Studio is more geared for creating figures like Miku. Poser is more geared for using premade figures versus making you own. You can make Poser figures, but you need to model them in another app then bring the model into Poser, rig it, create textures for it etc.

I do not use Clip Paint so you should ask some of the people that do in that forum, or I can move this thread there is you want me to do that.

There is a 30 day trial of the previous version here http://www.contentparadise.com/productDetails.aspx?id=24230

And the new version is on sale here. http://my.smithmicro.com/manga-studio-ex-5.html?utm_source=forum&utm_medium=banner&utm_campaign=clip55off

  • You can use MMD exports in Poser - I have. If you want to create or modify MMD models, you need to use another type of software called modelling software, such as Blender 3D ( which is free !). I personally use Terawell's Design Doll software to create anime-style 3D people, then clean up the mesh inside Shade 3D. Then I export as OBJ and rigg inside Poser Pro 11. I also use Blender 3D with auto-rigging and export as FBX, which Poser pro 11 can import. Another rigging alternative I use is the online and free service by Mixamo, which again, uses FBX format which Poser can import. Animations must be imported with the FBX file, of as BVH, but a lot of clean up usually required. Please see my gallery at http://ibr-remote.deviantart.com for examples of Poser using imported anime-style and MMD models and pose-able as well. My journal there also has notes which give pointers on what works and work-arounds in the transformation process. And yes, I have used Clip Paint Studio Pro models inside Poser.
