Merging a multiply layer down with a normal layer is canceling the multiply effect
I saw this old post, but that is not what is happening to me. For me it is like multiply is turned off before merging down.
I must be missing something easy. Suggestions?
If memory serves, it's because you are merging into a layer with transparent background and not white.
@PGross Great insight. Yes, I am merging a multiply layer down to a layer with transparent space.
I will try merging a few other things till I get a solid layer below the multiply and see how it goes.
I used to use an action to add a white layer to the lower layer and then merge. Now I've just been doing combine copy of showing layers.
Ahhh. I read about Merge Showing Layers, but thought it was in PS, not Clip. I will have to play with that a bit too. Thank you.
