Small cheap trick to better control DOF
-
I have here a small trick to better control your DOF. Some kind of tracking. (Till we get a real one)
First create your scene. Make Focus Distance guide visible. Save the scene.
Now load it in your Poserfile editor (Pz3 file.) Now look for the controlprop Focus distance controlIt is listed two times, take the second (scroll down )
You have two values which you can now edit
Hidden change to 0
Add to menue to 1Now save this edited pz3file. (Overwrite or different don't matter)
Now load your scene new and you remark that you have now the DOF guide as prop
(Go in your menue to props )You can move the guide now up and down , left and right. Only for the Focus distance you have to do it still in the Camera.

Thank you! Very useful!

I have recently written a script to do this - if you are interested - props must be parented, to a figure atm but other than that, there is no work for the end user, select an actor, set the fstop, choose the camera - everything else is calculated for you.

@structure
that sounds very interesting.
