OK.... I have Motion Artist.... Just need to see others interested in using this software...
-
Thank you for opening a forum also for MotionArtist!
Have learned about the Graphics Forum just a few minutes ago, in SmithMicro's newsletter, and am glad to find also MotionArtist here. Wishing this forum success and lively, friendly, and helpful discussions!
-
I'm glad Smith Micro have finally created a forum for this software. I've mention this forum over at the RuntimeDNA Forum for Motion Artist as well.
-
Maybe it's a bit too early to say this (!), but this forum doesn't seem to have any structure. Is it going to stay this way or are there going to be sub-divisions, topics etc.? My OCD coming to the fore...
-
@jahnocli You're replying to a topic now in the MotionArtist Forum. You can't start a new topic from WITHIN a topic.

Er - I thought this was a "Welcome" topic, and I was raising what I thought was a germane reply. This seems to bear out my original comment about possible confusion...
-
@jahnocli It's a new forum. The users have to start the topics.
-
@eclark1849 As the threads build up, can you see what the problem is? This is like having a library where you throw all the books on the floor...
-
@jahnocli I'm not having any problems.
-
@eclark1849 and @jahnocli
Great for eclark that he does not have any problem. YET.
(You always need to have the last word, don't you? What a silly remark!)Generally, I think the tagging system for structuring content will help to better search/find items afterwards, and probably this system will be much better than sorting questions into several sub-categories. But this is a new system, and - shame on me - I missed the opportunity to add tags when I opened a new topic ... Wanted to correct that, but cannot any more (this is allowed only within the first 900 seconds or so after a new topic has been published). I just guess this might happen to many forum users here, until they get used to it. Here an improvement should be possible, imho.
Anyway, please stop the arguments, eclark (and jahnocli), and turn to more productive work.

@maxie-online Any debate is an argument. But if it makes you feel better, what ever you say!
-
The forum is definitely open to suggestions and sub-categories but as it is in its infancy, we'll likely keep it limited.
As for tags, yes that would be the best way to go about it. I will mention to the team that the inability to add tags after 900 seconds has been limiting.

First of all start integrating CSP with MA. Let MA import CSP project.
-
This would also fit in the CSP suggestion thread. I hope they do this in a manner similar to Photoshop & ImageReady; or Paintshop & AnimationShop.
-
@mechanaut
I use CSP for my comics and it's very frustrating passing through Photoshop to ake some animation (like my book-trailer)
-
The most current update of CSP does have a limited traditional animation feature; in the sense that it's similar to Photoshop's. But it does not seem to offer tweening.
-
Yes. You are right. I used those feature. I was meaning that it is frustrating to pass through PS when you wanto to make some motion comic with MotionArtist from pages made in CSP.
