In the Poser forums, it would be nice to see sub-catagories on nodes/mat room, tutorials, lighting, dynamics ... well you get the idea. Nodes and tutorials especially. That would be great.

We won't rule out adding sub-categories, but prefer to use tags instead, especially in the beginning.

This forum uses a tag system that can actually be used to categorize posts.
Anyone who starts a thread can assign a tag to the original post. There can be up to five tags per OP. You'll find more instructions here:
You'll also notice there are already tags there for the subtopics you listed. Here's a list of the tags that are already set up:
Fantastic! Love learning new things! Honest.

Yup me too.
Actually the tag system might prove to be even more flexible than subcategories. Why? Because sometimes a post touches on more than one area. OK let's say you post a brief tutorial about creating metals and reflections that will work in both SuperFly and FireFly. You could assign the tags TUTORIAL SUPERFLY FIREFLY MATERIALS METALS. Folks can enter any one or more of those search terms and your post will appear. Whereas if you create subcategories you wouldn't know whether to put it or find it in the Tutorials subcategory, or the nodes category, or the mat room category.
I'm hoping it catches on, because I think it's pretty cool!
