Vertex normals and celshaders

  • Some time ago, I asked about bing able to directly change vertex normals (not face normals) of geometry inside Poser. I asked because the way to make a more celshaded look in 2D, is to adjust the vertex normals. I discovered how to do this but it is probably not as effective in Poser; anyway here goes:

    This can be done using the ToonBSDF and the DiffuseBSDF node in a Cycles Surface regime of Materials Room. Click on the Normal value in that node, and the value inputs for the 3 directional coordinates pop up. I suppose one has to manually change those and do test renders like crazy, until the desired effect is achieved.

    I am off to experiment.
